“Learn something new everyday. This is a fact & also a challenge.”

John Saddington (@tentblogger) said this on Twitter the other day and I must wholeheartedly agree with him. I am frequently astounded with all there is to learn, but I’m not sure I make a point of making this happen everyday. So in the past few days I’ve tried to collect a few:

– Old radiators are loud: I’m in my apartment in Manhattan (pictures coming soon!) and the other night I had a Buddy-the-Elf moment. It was loud and indeed evil sounding. I emailed my friend who used to live here and she assured me that the sound is good. It’s also why I am staying warm.

– Good things, right things, can be sad things: it’s my final week with Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee and I’ve said lots of goodbyes to our amazing partners and the team. I know it was great timing, something else is coming, yachta yachta. But it’s still sad.

– IKEA makes stuff with lots of parts. I conquered a wardrobe this week and the task made it immensely rewarding. I’m so proud of it I’ll post a picture:

What have you learned today? -EL

Great post. I learned something I thought I had already learned. Don’t make assumptions. Ask more questions. You really can’t over-communicate. Especially when planning an event with a speaker who has an agent. Don’t assume the agent has your best interest, or even his client’s, at heart.
